In My Arms Tenderly

Sweet little baby, precious child,
In my arms tenderly you may hide.

Snuggle closely. Giggle and smile.
Close your eyes and sleep awhile.

Sweet little baby, precious child,
In my arms tenderly you may hide.

Wiggle your toes and fingers too
As I count the ways that I love you.

Sweet little baby, precious child,
In my arms tenderly you may hide.

May 2006 By Glen Woods

I wrote this while reflecting on memories of holding my own three nieces and two nephews when they were newborns.
